So you’ve decided on a company that you like and want to become a franchisee. Great! Here’s some info about the people you’ll meet over the course of the franchise application process.

Franchise Recruitment Specialist
This is the first person you’ll meet. You might meet them at a trade show, or simply by contacting the organization through LookForAFranchise.ca. They’ll act as your guide through the application process, (which can take around four to six weeks) and will be your main contact with the franchise during this time.

Existing Franchisees
Your prospective franchise will set you up with existing franchisees who can tell you about their experiences. They can answer your questions and provide another point of contact. Franchisees will be able to tell you about their investment as well as how they’ve built up their business. These are great contacts to have that can give you the franchisee perspective.

Head Office Staff
Once you’re around three-quarters of the way through the process, you’ll meet the head office staff. This can range from the president, executive team, support staff and trainers. Here, you can ask any of your remaining questions, including those about the franchise system.
