When we were founded in 1993 by Mike Brewer, the home inspection industry was unstructured. It’s true that the formal industry was about ten years old at that time, but research revealed that there were no industry standards or training practices. This left Mike with an abysmal home inspection experience when he bought his home, and an idea. That idea? Pillar To Post Home Inspectors. In 1994, Pillar To Post was ready to start franchising. Emphasizing integrity and professionalism, we created a variety of tools to ensure that each home inspection would fit a strict standard of excellence, including:
