Toronto, Ont., April 24, 2018 – From April 23 to 29, Pizza Pizza is offering customers a medium pizza, topped with a pepperoni smile for $5.99 – a one-dollar discount off the regular price of a medium pepperoni pizza – with a portion of proceeds going to local children’s hospitals through Children’s Miracle Network Canada.
“A smile does go a long way,” says Paul Goddard, CEO at Pizza Pizza Ltd. “Like our customers, we realize the tremendous importance of our local children’s hospitals. The work they do makes a huge difference in the lives of so many children in our community and we’re honoured to support them again through our annual Slices for Smiles fundraiser.”
Pizza Pizza launched Slices for Smiles in 2007, and to date, has raised more than $3 million for children’s causes and Children’s Miracle Network hospitals across Canada. Last year, the company raised a record $500,000 for Children’s Miracle Network, a milestone especially fitting for Pizza Pizza’s 50th anniversary year.
Customers can support the campaign by purchasing a medium pepperoni Smile Pizza at their nearest participating Pizza Pizza location in Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia. The Smile Pizza is available as an add-on to any pizza order placed in-store, over the phone, online or via one of Pizza Pizza’s various mobile ordering apps. Throughout the week, the company is also inviting customers to top-off their orders with a monetary donation that will be directed in its entirety to CMN.
Funds from each location will stay within the community in which they are raised, and support the nearest Children’s Miracle Network member hospital in that region.
