Commemorating something special in October? Celebrate with Baskin-Robbins!

TORONTO, ON, Oct. 20, 2017 – It’s a not-so-well-kept secret: October is likely the month with the most observances. Commemorations like National Dessert Month, National Cookie Month, National Caramel month and National Pizza Month, for example, fall within the month’s borders, as do big ‘holidays’ like Canadian Thanksgiving and Halloween. To help glean the full value and enjoyment of their many celebrations, Baskin-Robbins Canada reminds Canadians to consider personalized cakes as the perfect solution for that extra special touch.

“Thank goodness for these special events,” says Natalie Joseph, representative for Baskin-Robbins Canada. “They make saying goodbye to summer that much easier! Ice cream is always a nice addition to any celebration but, through our cakes we can help bring even more life to the theme behind each commemoration – whether it’s with a turkey-themed cake for Thanksgiving or a ghostly cake creation for Halloween. There are endless possibilities!”

As an ode to the unofficial fruit of the season, Baskin-Robbins introduces this month Pumpkin Cheesecake as its October Flavour of the Month.  This seasonal ice cream flavour includes crunchy ginger snap cookie pieces and a sweet cinnamon cream cheese flavoured ribbon to top it off.

“When I think of fall my mind turns to Thanksgiving and Jack-o’-Lanterns,” says Joseph. “Our flavour experts took the things we love most about this month and turned it into a fun new flavour that everyone can enjoy.”

Joining the lineup this October is the Thanksgiving Cake:  a Turkey Cake made up of customizable flavoured ice cream cake and sugar cone legs – a unique dessert that is sure to be the centerpiece of any holiday gathering – and the frighteningly friendly and fuzzy new Fang-Tastic Monster Cake with customizable flavours.
