What Is The CFA Award Of Excellence In Franchising?

First awarded in 1992, the Canadian Franchise Association (CFA) Award of Excellence in Franchising is presented annually and celebrates the mutually supported relationship between a franchise system and its franchisees. The statue awarded to the winner features two figures stepping in unison, symbolizing a franchisor and franchisee moving forward together.

The purpose of the award is to celebrate excellence in Canadian Franchising and provide recognition to franchise systems who excel in franchisee-franchisor relations.

Winning systems must demonstrate a dedication to following the CFA's "best practices," including superior franchisee relations, team work and communications. The recipient is decided based on the results of the survey completed by member franchisors and franchisees about their experiences with their franchise systems and colleagues.

Participating in this award is exclusive to CFA franchisor members who have been franchising for three years or more.
