FranchiseCanada Wins Silver Award for Best Newsstand Issue, Small Magazine Category
“We strive to create a first-class magazine for and about Canadian franchising and it is a great honour to be recognized for our team’s work,” said Lorraine McLachlan, CFA President and CEO and Publisher of FranchiseCanada.
In its ninth year of honouring Canada’s top magazines, the Canadian Newsstand Awards is a unique awards program that takes into account the titles’ newsstand sales performances. Sales results are worth 50% of the final score, while the other 50% is based on qualitative factors judged by a panel. The five judges represent key components in the newsstand mix: a retailer; a wholesaler; a national distributor; a publisher and an art director.
FranchiseCanada magazine is a bi-monthly consumer magazine for those interested in learning about franchising and franchise opportunities in Canada. Published by the CFA, FranchiseCanada empowers its readers with knowledge and understanding about the rewarding franchise business model and inspires through stories of success and the opportunities available in franchising.
CFA also proudly publishes the annual FranchiseCanada Directory, released in January of each year. As Canada's best franchise resource, this annual is packed with over 1,100 easy-to-use listings of franchises in a variety of categories and the companies that support them as well as practical information on how to succeed in Canadian franchising.
Both FranchiseCanada magazine and Directory are available across the country at select bookstores and newsstands, including Chapters-Indigo, Shoppers Drug Mart, Gateway Newstands and HDS-Relay stores. It is also sold at The Franchise Show, Canada’s largest franchise tradeshow, and CFA franchising events and conferences. Online, it is available through the CFA website (www.cfa.ca) and through Magazines Canada (magazinescanada.ca/consumer).
