Canadian Franchise Association Announces 2009 Frankie Award Winners

(Toronto, ON) May 8, 2009… The Canadian Franchise Association (CFA) congratulates the 2009 Frankie Award winners, representing the top advertising and marketing creative in Canadian franchising.

Frankie Awards were presented in 16 categories. Panago Pizza led the way with 11 awards, picking up four Gold, five Silver, and two Bronze Frankies. Mr. Lube won a total of five Frankies, with a Silver and Bronze and sweeping up every award in the Radio Commercial category. Prime Restaurants also received five awards, including two Gold, one Silver and two Bronze Frankies.

Frankie Award entries are submitted by franchisors, advertising agencies and franchising support service providers across Canada. 193 entries were reviewed by a panel of judges among the top professionals in the fields of creative, production and marketing. The entries were judged on clarity of message, originality of concept, effective use of medium, quality of execution, and overall presentation.

The awards were handed out May 4, 2009 at the Awards Presentation Dinner during the 2009 CFA National Convention.
