New accessibility legislation and your franchise
Presented by: Antonia Hammer, EnAbling Change Project Coordinator, CFA
July 13, 2010

Ontario is rolling out new legislation that will change the way you and your franchisees do business. If you have locations in Ontario, attend this webinar and find out what you need to know about the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and how it could impact your bottom line. For each day or part of a day a person is guilty of an offence under this Act they are liable on conviction to fines of up to $50,000 for an individual or $100,000 for a corporation.

This 30 minute webinar is part of a new project by the CFA called EnAbling Change. Over the next few months, CFA will be developing tools and templates for members and their franchisees to help make compliance with the AODA easier. According to a study released by The Royal Bank of Canada in 2000, the estimated annual spending power of people with disabilities is 25 billion dollars a year. Join us for a short executive briefing on this important issue. Big changes are coming and the CFA is here to help you and your franchisees get ready!
