Participating in the CFA Awards Program is exclusive to CFA franchise system members who have been franchising for three years or more. Companies must enter the competition by brand (e.g. a franchisor with three brands can enter each of their brands once).
In order to qualify for the CFA Awards Program, franchise systems must meet certain franchisee participation levels as follows:
- Systems with fewer than six (6) franchisees are not eligible to participate.
- If a system has fewer than ten (10) franchisees and are considered to be in the "New/Emerging" category, they may qualify as long as 100% of their franchisees participate
- If a system is not in the "New/Emerging" category, they must have at least ten (10) franchisees in total and
- if they have between 10 and 50 franchisees, at least ten (10) must respond
- if they have more than 50 franchisees, they must have at least ten (10) or 10% respond, whichever is greater.
New/Emerging: means franchising for three (3) to ten (10) years
Mature/Established: means franchising for eleven (11) years or more
Traditional: means brick and mortar locations
Non-Traditional: means mobile, home-based, etc.
To help franchise systems' promote franchisee participation, franchisors are provided with an e-mail template to send to their franchisees. This e-mail template provides information about the CFA Awards Program to encourage franchisees to take 15 minutes to complete the online survey.
The Entry Process
The entry process is simple and can be completed in a few easy steps.
- Go to the Franchisor Survey page
- Click on the Franchisor Survey button to request your link to the survey to start the entry process
- Once you have received the link via e-mail from InfoFeedback, go to the online survey through your web browser
- Complete the Franchisor Survey online by responding to the questionnaire
- Once all the details are complete and relevant questions have been answered, submit the form. Don't forget to hit the SUBMIT button in order to record your answers.
- You will be notified via e-mail by InfoFeedback of receipt of your survey and will be requested to provide an electronic contact list of all your franchisees.
- Submit your electronic contact list of your franchisees to InfoFeedback. The contact list must be in excel format with e-mail address, first name, last name, and language preference in separate columns. Note: If no language preference is specified, English will be the default selection. The deadline for franchisee contact lists is January 30, 2012. The sooner the franchisor survey is completed and the franchisee contact list is provided to InfoFeedback, the more time your franchisees will have to access and complete their surveys.
- Franchisees will receive an e-mail invitation to participate in the Franchisee Survey
- Franchisees complete the Franchisee Survey online and must submit their responses no later than February 27, 2012. It is important that franchisees click on the SUBMIT button in order to record their responses
